Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of Chesskool, a platform that connects students with chess coaches for online lessons. By using the platform you agree to these terms.
1.The platform
Chesskool is a marketplace that facilitates booking and delivering online chess lessons. Chesskool vets coaches through a verification process, but lessons are provided independently by each coach.
Some features require an account. You must keep your profile information accurate and up to date.
2.Accounts and roles
There are student and coach accounts. Coach accounts go through verification (FIDE data and identity) before appearing in the public listing and accepting bookings.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.
3.Payments, refunds, and commissions
Payments are processed through an external provider. Chesskool does not store your card details; they are held by the payment processor and referenced via a token.
Cancellations are refunded to the original payment method as described in the Cancellation policy.
Chesskool retains a commission on each completed lesson; the remainder is paid to the coach on the current payout schedule.
4.Reviews
Students who completed at least one lesson with a coach may leave a review with a rating and optional comment. Each student keeps one review per coach, which they may update.
Chesskool may moderate or hide reviews it considers inappropriate without deleting the underlying record.
5.Lesson recording
Lessons may be recorded (board, audio, and video) so students can replay them later. Recording notice and legal treatment are shown in the platform and subject to applicable law.
6.Conduct and termination
We expect respectful use of the platform. Chesskool may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or undermine marketplace trust.
7.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version will be published on this page with the last updated date.
